LIFE Mower County envisions a community where individuals of all abilities are fully included, valued, and empowered to live meaningful, self-directed lives. We strive for a future where every person has equal access to opportunities for learning, connection, and growth, and where diversity is celebrated as a strength. Through inclusive programs and strong community partnerships, we aim to create a place where everyone belongs, contributes, and thrives.

Goals

1. 1.Expand access to LIFE Mower County programs by increasing participation, removing barriers, and enhancing program capacity. Focus on reaching more individuals with I/DD and their families through improved outreach, flexible options, and community partnerships while maintaining quality, inclusion, and meaningful engagement across all services.
2. 2.Prioritize core programs that directly support LIFE Mower County’s mission and have the greatest impact. Evaluate all services and scale back or discontinue those that are not aligned, underutilized, or not sustainable. Redirect staff time and resources to strengthen high-quality programs that expand opportunities, inclusion, and outcomes.
3. 3.Strengthen advocacy efforts to amplify the voices of individuals with I/DD and their families. Increase education, awareness, and engagement with local and state leaders to influence policies and funding. Empower participants to build self-advocacy skills and ensure LIFE Mower County is a trusted voice for inclusion and community change.
