Christians for Biblical Equality
Mission
CBE is the only International Christian nonprofit organization promoting women’s equality as a biblical ideal to Christians worldwide. With supporters from more than 100 denominations in over 214 countries, CBE’s global partnerships collaborate on events, publications, local chapters, and projects. To serve the global church, CBE’s resources are available in 22 languages. Beside our global partners, we equip Christians biblically to use their God-given talents in leadership and service regardless of gender, ethnicity, or class. Statistics prove that educating and empowering women leads to human flourishing for the entire community. If more women are empowered to exercise their gifts as God intends, imagine how it would improve marriages, families, churches, and communities in the world!
Vision
A future where all believers are freed to exercise their gifts for God’s glory and purposes, with the full support of their Christian communities. CBE collaborates with global pastors, churches, institutions, and NGOs to eliminate sexism, racism, misogyny, gender-based violence, and human trafficking; to raise the status of women; and to promote human flourishing. We educate and advocate through online multimedia resources (in many languages), journals, blogs, podcasts, radio spots, articles, videos, and audios in addition to local chapters and yearly conferences.
Goals
- 1.Building on decades of international engagement, including global conferences since 2004 and translations of CBE materials in 30+ languages, CBE will expand its international reach. By strengthening partnerships, publishing global scholars’ research, supporting local events, and increasing translations, CBE will scale its programs to reach more people across cultures and contexts.
- 2.Our annual goal is to maintain an effective, sustainable, and efficient organization. This includes fundraising and financial sustainability, and being properly equipped with the tools and staff needed for optimal functionality We intentionally and routinely educate ourselves (CBE staff, board members, and stakeholders) on issues impacting women worldwide.
- 3.Our annual goal is to promote egalitarian advocacy through CBE's international conferences, representation at other events, chapters worldwide, scholarships for women, and marketing. CBE also collaborates with global pastors, churches, and NGOs to eliminate sexism, racism, gender-based violence, and human trafficking; to raise the status of women; and to promote human flourishing.
