Mission

The mission of the DFW Wildlife Coalition is to reduce the incidence of orphaned and euthanized native wildlife in the DFW metroplex through public outreach and education. The DFW Wildlife Coalition is a 100% volunteer-operated nonprofit organization dedicated to wildlife rescue, community education, and humane conflict resolution across the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex and 20 surrounding counties. We operate a high-volume wildlife hotline 365 days a year with the goal of fostering peaceful coexistence between humans and our wild neighbors. We empower citizens with instructions on when an animal needs rescue versus when it should be left alone; provide proven methods for reuniting orphaned wild babies with their mothers; offer referrals to state-licensed wildlife rehabilitators when needed; and deliver effective, humane strategies to resolve neighborhood wildlife conflicts without the use of traps or poisons. The DFW Wildlife Coalition relies entirely on donations and community volunteers to keep our services accessible to the public.
