The nonprofit organization presents evidence of strategic thinking and goal setting through sharing their most important strategic goals.
Goal One: Increase the service capacity of our Food Distribution Program by building a 2,000 square foot addition on to our food pantry. This project will allow for the storage of twice as much food as our current pantry, increased space for volunteers to work and complete special projects, and will allow us to keep enough food on-hand to feed the 300 families who visit our Food Distributions.
Goal Two: Our Six Core Programs are wraparound, safety-net services for low-income families and individuals in Contra Costa County. These core programs are: Food Distribution, Resource & Referral, Health & Wellness, Youth Enrichment, Senior Moments, and Community Engagement & Workforce Development. We are a one-stop-shop for our clients. We accomplish this through core programs and community partnerships.
Goal Three: Monument Crisis Center is investing in staff and management by supporting professional development and investing in new technology. Additionally, we are making efforts to increase our sustainability by becoming a zero-waste facility, replacing all of our vehicles with EVs, starting in-house composting, and educating our employees, volunteers, and clients about our eco-friendly programming.
