Vision

Our vision for the Greater Des Moines Botanical Garden is to be a cherished community resource, known for enriching quality of life in our region and state through education and stewardship of the vital connections between plants, people and the natural world.

Goals

1. 1.Enhance & Expand Spaces: As part of the 4 year strategic plan, the Garden will prepare for and implement the Site Master Plan, including developing additional acreage and completing facility repairs.
2. 2.Increase Diversification & Relevance: As part of the 4 year strategic plan, the Garden will experiment with expanded access, educate/train board, staff, and volunteers, implement changes to policy.
3. 3.Strengthen Organizational Capacity: As part of the 4 year strategic plan, the Garden will assess and update goals and processes related to HR, marketing, and fundraising.
