Food Bank of Siouxland

Mission

The Food Bank of Siouxland's mission is "The Food Bank of Siouxland is the leading year-round food source for nonprofit partner agencies." We serve the hungry in 11 Siouxland counties by working with over 100 nonprofit member agencies, consisting of food pantries, emergency relief agencies, meal providers and other outreach programs. Further, the organization vision is "Alleviating hunger in Siouxland by providing access to nutritious food for all".

Goals

1.Distribute 3.4 million pounds of food through out the Siouxland area (northeast Nebraska and northwest Iowa). This will ensure needed counties are effectively served with enough food.
2.Capitalizing on wonderful community support over the last year, will fund-raise $2.3 million in fiscal year 2023. The staff also want to raise an additional $1,000,000 for a capital campaign.
3.Grow the reach and response rate to social media. This will assist those in need food insecurity find food pantries. Further, with increased social media, our donations should increase.
