Mission

The mission of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Eastern Missouri (BBBSEMO) is to partner with young people, ages 5-25, in their pursuit of meaningful, stable, independent lives. Since our founding in 1914, BBBSEMO has committed to connecting young people with adult volunteer mentors, aiming to build impactful, enduring relationships that transform the lives of our region's most under-resourced and at-risk young people. BBBSEMO is an accredited affiliate of Big Brothers Big Sisters of America. BBBSEMO is a well-established nonprofit organization providing high quality mentoring services. BBBSEMO is headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri and conducts business across a six-county service region (St. Louis City, St. Louis County, Jefferson County, St. Charles County, Cape Girardeau County, Scott County).

As we execute our mission across eastern Missouri, we envision the young people we reach through our programs will "own their futures" and become gainfully employed by age 26.

Goals

1.Reimagine our organization – includes restructuring our culture and values, as well as updates to programs/services, policies, and procedures
2.Invest in staff personal and professional development and well-being – includes trainings, team building, and providing opportunities for staff to give feedback
3.Educate and engage community members – increase awareness about our programs/services and engage a diverse group of community partner organizations to advance our programs and our execute our mission
