Mission

Sunshine Ministries is committed to providing high-quality Christian social services to the poor and needy of St. Louis by offering healing from the past, help for the present, and hope for the future. Sunshine Ministries is a non-denominational Christian ministry to the homeless and needy of St. Louis. Since 1903, Sunshine Ministries has been transforming lives - helping men, women, and children discover their God-given potential and learn to live a life of meaning and purpose.

Goals

1.Maintain a philosophy of outreach by respecting and valuing everyone's potential; teaching personal responsibility by offering a hand up (not a hand out); and building strong, caring relationships.
2.Employ and train program directors who can passionately embrace our values, purpose, and professional approach to social services; who can specifically respond to the special needs of our clients.
3.In response to the rising crime rate in our zip code, we will assess all facilities for security, train all staff to respond quickly and wisely in an emergency, and ensure that our guests are safe.
