Mission

Gateway180 is a valuable resource for women and children experiencing the unimaginable burden of homelessness. We are Missouri's largest family shelter, providing safe, nurturing emergency shelter services designed to get families into permanent homes. Our Vision is to end homelessness in the St. Louis region one family at a time. Once clients arrive at the shelter they begin to work Gateway180's highly structured housing program. 84% of people placed into transitional or permanent supportive housing will never become homeless again. As of October 2022, we have placed 266 individuals into permanent housing in the last 12 months. We are proud to say that 85.3% of funds donated go directly to our mission. Those funds are directly spent on client services, classes and resources that empower and transition our women and families into permanent and stable housing.
