The nonprofit provides evidence of leadership through focusing externally and mobilizing resources for the mission.
This organization mobilizes for mission in the following ways:
What are this organization’s external mobilizaton efforts?
We established the National Lupus Partners Network (90+ mbrs) representing people with lupus, subject and medical experts, non-profit groups, companies, and LFA chapters. Working together, members have pushed out key messages about the signs and symptoms of lupus, what to do if lupus is suspected, self management programs, and COVID-19 tools and resources, as we work toward the collective goals to improve time to diagnosis and increase access to lupus resources. LFA staff regularly present at scientific meetings, serve as panelists at federal and industry meetings, and make presentations at community and public health meetings. We train advocates and ambassadors, mobilizing them to engage federal and state officials to improve access to care and advance lupus research, and share information about lupus in local communities. Additionally, we lead the World Lupus Federation (200 global orgs) and lead the MAPRx coalition (60+ national patient orgs) in support of Medicare Part D.
