    Mission

    The Lupus Foundation of America, commonly known as LFA, is the only national force devoted to solving the mystery of lupus while giving caring support to those who suffer from its brutal impact. We envision a life free of lupus. Our mission is to improve the quality of life for all people affected by lupus through programs of research, education, support and advocacy.<br><br>We have greatly stepped up our fundraising and advocacy efforts to ensure we reach our disease-specific goals:<br><br>1. Reduce the time to diagnosis<br>2. Ensure people with lupus have an arsenal of safe and effective treatments <br>3. Expand direct services and increase access to treatment and care<br> <br>Our research efforts deliver the most significant impact on people's lives in the shortest time possible. We tackle lupus from every direction to identify the causes, treatments, means to prevent and cure this life-threatening disease. Our patient-first research approach delivers better results to improve quality of life.
