The Contemporary Art Museum St. Louis (CAM) presents, supports, and celebrates the art of our time. Our mission is to create meaningful engagement with the most relevant and innovative art being made today. With a dynamic array of changing exhibitions, CAM provides a thought-provoking program that reflects and contributes to the global cultural landscape. Through diverse perspectives offered in our exhibitions, programs, and educational activities. CAM actively engages a range of audiences to challenge their perceptions. We are a site for discovery, a laboratory for experimentation, and a gathering place in which to experience and enjoy contemporary visual culture.

We believe in the transformative power of the art of our time. Contemporary art speaks directly to the moment in which we live and encourages real dialogue about the issues we share. We envision that: - St. Louis residents and visitors have access to extraordinary contemporary art and arts education. - Today’s artists are valued, supported, and provided opportunities. - The future of art history will be equitable, inclusive, and diverse. - St. Louis is a vital and thriving cultural center and destination for experiencing world-class contemporary art.
