The nonprofit organization presents evidence of strategic thinking and goal setting through sharing their most important strategic goals.
Goal One: High Sierra AHEC will expand Project Prevent and ROARR by partnering with more schools and community groups, increasing transportation and stipends, and enhancing our curriculum hub for hybrid delivery. By training student mentors, pursuing diverse funding, and strengthening staff capacity, we will scale access, reduce barriers, and prepare more rural youth for healthcare careers.
Goal Two: High Sierra AHEC invests in organizational capacity by strengthening financial management systems, ensuring compliance, and enhancing transparency. We expand technical capacity through staff training, digital tools, and data-driven evaluation. These investments build efficiency, accountability, and scalability, enabling us to sustain growth and deliver greater impact in underserved communities
Goal Three: High Sierra AHEC’s goal is to strengthen advocacy for rural health equity by elevating youth voices, engaging policymakers, and building community partnerships. We will champion expanded funding for health workforce pathways, highlight the needs of underserved communities, and promote policies that ensure all students have access to healthcare education and career opportunities.
