    Friends of Chimbote

    Mission

    Friends of Chimbote firmly support our founders Father Jack and Sister Peggy's conviction that education is the primary factor in which the poor may overcome their desperate circumstances. However, we also recognize that basic human needs must first be met so that children may study without lethargy stemming from malnutrition, illness caused by inadequate access to healthcare, or lack of sleep due to no bed or home. They also need a place in which to study, funds for school supplies and uniforms, as well as other basic necessities. To respond to these needs and to ultimately transform the lives of the poor of Chimbote through education, Friends of Chimbote supports four primary areas of competency.
