9/11 Day

Mission

Our mission is to inspire millions of Americans and others to rekindle the remarkable spirit of unity and compassion that emerged following 9/11, and to perform good deeds and acts of service in tribute to the 9/11 victims, survivors, first responders, volunteers, and members of our military who bravely rose in service in response to the attacks.

Vision

9/11 Day was inspired by the spirit of unity, service, and shared humanity that arose in the United States and spread around the world following the events of September 11, 2001. Today, 9/11 Day - also known as the September 11 National Day of Service and Remembrance – stands as a permanent tribute to those lost and injured, and those who rose in service. As the single largest day of service in the U.S., 9/11 Day reminds us that coming together in a spirit of kindness, no matter our differences, has the power to change lives, and ultimately, our world.

Goals

1.Grow the September 11 National Day of Service by inspiring more Americans to participate by doing good deeds and acts of service.
2.Expand our signature Meal Pack for 9/11 Day program to engage more volunteers and provide more meals to our food bank partners who provide food to Americans in need.
3.Scale our education program to educate more students and younger generations of Americans about September 11th and the day of service through a service learning lens.
