Voices for Children of Broward County

Mission

Voices for Children of Broward County (Voices) works to ensure that every abused, neglected, and abandoned child in Broward County has the necessary programs and resources available to meet each child’s accompanying health, educational, and social needs. To accomplish this mission, Voices collaborates with the 17th Judicial Circuit Court, Community Based Care Lead Agency, Guardian ad Litem Office, Legal Aid, and other community partners to serve current or former foster care youth to provide advocacy, case management, essential needs, age-appropriate referrals, and wrap-around services to foster an abuse-free future.

To ensure all children in foster care not only survive but thrive.

Goals

1.Provide advocacy, case management, age-appropriate referrals, and wrap-around victim services to foster an abuse-free future.
2.Provide thought leadership to help make the foster care experience better by promoting the well-being of children, ensuring safety, and supporting initiatives committed to breaking the cycle of abuse.
3.Develop a long-term aggressive fundraising strategy to diversify funding streams that allow for sustaining, growing and expanding of strategic programs and services.
