Building home libraries from birth is necessary to children's literacy development and lifelong success.
2.We will continue to build and deepen our organizational capacity and health on all fronts. We will ensure that our organization stays equipped to pursue goal #1. We are focusing on revenue generation, with a plan for organizational sustainability;. human resources investments, ensuring that the organization can recruit and retain the best talent; structural program refinements.
3.We will continue to take our core programs--Books from Birth, Books for K, Books on Break--to scale. These programs unleash the power of book ownership. Our programs allow families to start building their home libraries from birth, and they allow children to choose their own books, to “take them home and keep them forever.” Book Harvest ensures that children have books that are truly theirs.
