SRD Foundation (Syria Relief & Development)

Mission

To provide crisis humanitarian relief and plant the seeds of sustainable development for the people of Syria.

To maintain humanitarian relief and mobilize resources to develop a comprehensive agenda for sustainable development in Syria.

1.Our goal to expand and scale our services entails continuing our mandate to deliver lifesaving assistance to those impacted by conflict/crisis. This includes the provision of health services (including women and children's health, emergency services, primary healthcare), protection, and nutrition, among other essential services.
2.Continuous advocacy for the communities we serve is an essential component of our work, from issues of humanitarian access to the protection of aid workers. This includes grassroots advocacy (e.g., local community leaders) to global platforms, including SRD providing expert briefings on the humanitarian situation to the United Nations Security Council, European Union, and United States Congress.
3.SRD is continuously exploring and implementing more sustainable solutions for to service delivery. The changes in Syria have opened up new opportunities to move beyond humanitarian aid to programs that are longer-term and sustainable. We continue to co-create with the communities we serve and adapt to the realities on the ground in a way that ensures aid is fit-for-purpose and needs-based.
