Mission

Food Recovery Network (FRN) is a national nonprofit that mobilizes 8,000+ college students, food suppliers, and local businesses in the fight against climate change and hunger by recovering surplus food from college campuses and communities that would otherwise go to waste and donating it to local nonprofits that feed people experiencing hunger across the U.S.

Vision

Food Recovery Network seeks to recover surplus food to feed everyone who experiences hunger in the U.S.

Goals

1.Through creating powerful cross-sector partnerships, FRN trains and mobilizes college students to recover and donate surplus food to feed communities experiencing hunger across the U.S.
2.By combining data on food insecurity and waste, poverty/SNAP, income/living wage, higher ed, and race/ethnicity, FRN seeks to increase our impact in key areas where we can feed more people, faster.
3.FRN engages our nationwide network on relevant public policy efforts to help reduce food waste, fight climate change and enhance the economic security of the 47M people experiencing hunger in the U.S.
