Mission

Helping Others Obtain Destiny (Project H.O.O.D.) provides mentorship, workforce training, violence prevention, and community support to residents of Woodlawn and Englewood. We empower individuals and families through spiritual guidance, education, and life-skills development that create pathways to stability, opportunity, and hope.

Vision

Project H.O.O.D. envisions safe, thriving communities where violence is replaced with opportunity, families are supported, and residents have access to mentorship, education, and career pathways that lead to generational change.

Goals

1.Advance violence prevention efforts through mentorship, outreach, and community engagement initiatives that support youth and families and promote safer neighborhoods in Woodlawn and surrounding communities.
2.Strengthen workforce development programs, including construction and electrical training and entrepreneurship education, to create pathways to stable employment and economic mobility.
3.Expand services through the development of the Project H.O.O.D. Community Center in Woodlawn, creating a hub for mentoring, job training, youth development, and violence prevention programming.
