Finance & Accountability Score

Not currently scored

This organization cannot be evaluated by our Encompass Rating methodology because they have e-filed less than three full IRS Form 990s in the past six fiscal years

We recognize that organizations may skip e-filing on certain years, while otherwise meeting our methodology. However, we do not believe it appropriate to rate an organization based on this limited amount of data.

Note: The absence of a score does not indicate a positive or negative assessment, it only indicates that we have not yet evaluated this organization.

Story of Adaptability

The nonprofit has an opportunity to tell the story of how the organization adapted to tremendous external changes in the last year.

This past year Selah Freedom was forced to adapt our usual in-person training sessions that were cancelled, moving them to either online meetings, or a hybrid. Our teams quickly adapted to new technologies and working environments. Through the use of Zoom, it enabled us to keep the average number of training attendees well above what was required to retain our Grant funding. Our critical weekly Leadership meeting was facilitated despite the geographic differences with employees working from home via the use of online meeting technologies. Without in-person fundraising events, our Leadership team adapted by adding a fundraising component to our annual Graduation Ceremony for Survivors. Sponsorship packages were developed, and In-Kind sponsorships were solicited. Our team created a Graduation Program to allow for sponsor advertisements to support sponsorship dollars. By keeping costs low (~ $2500), we generated nearly $50k in revenue from this event.
