Mission

The Great Plains Foundation is a US 501(c)3 organization as well as Charity registered with the Charity Commission for England & Wales (Charity Number 1189136) with a mission to conserve and expand protected land and implement innovative conservation initiatives with a long-term commitment to biodiversity and local communities.

Intact natural systems are vital to our own health and well-being, and have an inherent value to us

Goals

1.LAND-Great Plains and its Foundation currently manage approximately 1,000,000 acres with plans to expand to 5,000,000 acres across a variety of fragile landscapes.
2.CONSERVATION-Conserving megafauna - Rhinos, Elephants and Big Cats and their ecosystems via direct program implementation and grant-making supporting wildlife monitoring, translocation and re-wilding.
3.COMMUNITIES-Supporting the education, empowerment and welfare of communities in Africa living alongside protected areas and wildlife.
