    The nonprofit has an opportunity to tell the story of how the organization adapted to tremendous external changes in the last year
    AZCERT invested time and effort to develop MedSafetyScan, a decision support program for incorporation in the electronic medical record. However, due to the Covid pandemic, hospitals were not able to allocate IT staff to work on the implementation of the program for hospitalized patients. We decided to launch the program as an open access web-based tool to assist healthcare providers screen for potential risk of harm from the many drugs that were being tested for Covid (azithromycin, hydroxychloroquine, etc). We also developed a collaboration with a managed care organization to use MedSafetyScan to monitor use of medicines in all of Arizona's Medicare/Medicaid patients.
