Mission

Counseling Partners of Los Angeles (CPLA) is dedicated to serving at-risk & disadvantaged LA students, providing quality, low-cost, school-based, essential mental health counseling & support services students need to grow toward their full potential emotionally, intellectually, morally & socially. Recognizing & embracing the uniqueness of each school & the transformative power of relationships, CPLA trains & nurtures compassionate clinicians who develop strong partnerships & trust with students, parents & staff. CPLA’s therapeutic model ensures access to counseling for all students, decreases stigma, improves students’ mental wellbeing, & benefits the entire school community. A[tf1.1]s a student with suicidal ideation expressed “I don’t think I would be here today if it wasn’t for my counselor”.
