To inspire global audiences through the Carter legacy

Goals

1. 1.We need to focus on the Carter legacy here in Plains by expanding projects that are easily attainable by our public and that foster inspiring audiences. Our Education Program is a voice that fosters a love for the Carter story at an early age and we need to continue to make sure that young people are exposed to that legacy. Our Downtown Historic District provides a personal look at that story.
2. 2.We need to invest particularly in the technical side of our organization, hiring someone to take care of the day to day aspects of getting our message out into the world. We also need to focus on creating a program whereby interested people might become members of Friends of Jimmy Carter.
3. 3.We need to create an atmosphere of partnership throughout our community, particularly between city government and Friends advocates. We need to advocate for each other.
