Center for Suicide Awareness Inc.

Mission

The Center for Suicide Awareness is dedicated to preventing suicide through proactive education, training, emotional support, collaboration, and intervention. We work to ensure compassionate, readily accessible, barrier-free, and stigma-free support for any individual or community in need.

Vision

To build communities where mental wellness is supported, suicide is preventable, and every individual feels seen, heard, and valued—with accessible, stigma-free help available whenever and wherever it’s needed.

Goals

1.Expand access to our core programs—including HOPELINE™, community trainings, and the Community Center—to reach more youth, adults, veterans, and first responders with barrier-free, stigma-free suicide prevention support.
2.Develop new community-based support offerings, including youth resiliency groups, first responder and veteran wellness sessions, and expanded school partnerships, to address rising mental health and crisis-support needs across Wisconsin.
3.Develop and launch new support programs—including youth resiliency groups, first responder and veteran wellness sessions, expanded school-based initiatives, and Community Center drop-in supports—in direct response to the rising mental health and crisis-support needs we see across our communities.
