Mission

Operation Delta Dog has a dual-purpose mission: to rescue shelter dogs at-risk of euthanasia and train them as service companions for veterans at-risk of suicide—potentially saving the lives of both veterans and their companions. Our ultimate goal is to reduce the veteran suicide rate in the regions we serve by empowering the return to a healthy and happy civilian life. Dogs get the homes they need, and veterans get the help they deserve. Operation Delta Dog was founded in 2013 to address the growing need for support of veterans experiencing PTSD and related challenges. We serve veterans of all ages, branches and backgrounds experiencing the “invisible” disabilities of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and Military Sexual Trauma (MST) throughout Massachusetts and New Hampshire.
