Vision

The Epicenter's vision has always been to add value to the community and self-worth to every individual we encounter. Over the past decade, we have served the Edgewood, Aberdeen, and now Joppa/Fallston communities through activities, resources and services that focus on four program areas: Youth, Recovery, Life Skills, and Health & Wellness. Through continued efforts, The Epicenter has found that Edgewood and Southern Harford County's most common needs include housing and rental support, eviction prevention, homelessness services, employee assistance, food access, drug and alcohol recovery programs, and youth academic support among other needs. Our goal is to help bridge the gap for these individuals and families so that they can become more self-sustaining and see increased well-being.

Goals

1. 1.The Epicenter is currently undergoing a period of restructuring to enhance its impact in our core areas: Youth, Health and Wellness, and Thrifting. In order to meet the growing demand from our communities, we are scaling back other programs to focus more deeply on these key priorities.
2. 2.The Epicenter is refining its processes and protocols to improve efficiency and better serve our communities. In response to the growing demand for services following COVID-19, it is crucial that we come together as an organization to rise to this challenge and meet the needs of those we serve.
3. 3.The Epicenter is excited to announce our expansion to a new location in late 2027. After thoroughly reviewing several locations across Baltimore County, we determined that Parkville, MD, is in urgent need of the services we provide. We are thrilled to have the support of local community leaders who are eager to welcome us.
