Goals

1. 1.Find or Build a Permanent Home for Discovery Our mall location is currently undergoing the early stages of redevelopment, creating an urgent need for a forever home. We are actively pursuing a permanent facility that ensures the Museum of Discovery remains a lasting institution in Santa Cruz County—a place where generations of families can explore, learn, and grow together.
2. 2.Ensure Access for All Families Every child deserves to learn through play, regardless of their family's economic circumstances. Through Museums-for-All, subsidized memberships, and community partnerships, we are removing barriers so every family in Santa Cruz County can experience the joy of discovery.
3. 3.Expand Educational Programming We are developing an Exhibits and Programs Master Plan to guide mission-driven experiences for children and families. From Science Saturdays to school field trips, we are becoming the go-to resource for hands-on STEAM learning in our community.
