Mission

Duo Duo Animal Welfare Project works with communities across China to end the horrific dog and cat meat trade. We address this challenge in 2 ways. We are reducing the demand for dog and cat meat through culturally conscious humane education and animal advocacy. And we are reducing the supply of animals to the meat trade through spay and neuter programs.

We envision a world where every dog and cat is treated as an invaluable companion.

Goals

1.Since 2013, we have worked year-round with individuals and communities across China to drive systemic change. Our proven programs engage young people to foster compassion and shift attitudes toward dogs and cats. By combining deep cultural understanding with a respectful, community-centered approach, we are expanding programs that build lasting support for animal welfare.
2.Our Spay and Neuter Training Center is expanding access to humane population management. Through hands-on training, we equip veterinarians with advanced surgical techniques and communities with humane trap-neuter-return practices. By scaling up these proven programs, we are reducing stray populations and the number of animals vulnerable to the dog and cat meat trade.
