Vision

A world where the most consequential stories of our time reach every classroom, community, and decision-maker who needs them -- where documentary film is recognized as essential infrastructure for civic life, and where no student, educator, or community organizer is left without access to the truth-telling that shapes how we understand our world and each other.

Goals

1. 1.Description: Scale SIMA Academy from 160,000 students annually to 1 million by 2027 and 10 million by 2030, reducing the current 400,000+ student waitlist through expanded institutional partnerships, regional hubs in Africa, Latin America, MENA, and South Asia, and integration into national education systems.
2. 2.Build long-term institutional resilience through 3-5 year multi-year philanthropic partnerships, diversified revenue streams including earned income and fiscal sponsorship fees, and strengthened operational infrastructure including senior leadership, multi-country compliance systems, and financial reserves.
3. 3.Launch AI and media literacy curricula within SIMA Academy in response to the global misinformation crisis, equipping students and educators with tools to navigate deepfakes, algorithmic bias, and human-centered storytelling in the age of AI, in partnership with AI ethics labs and universities.
