The nonprofit has an opportunity to tell the story of how the organization adapted to tremendous external changes in the last year
COVID remains a giant hurdle for people, businesses and nonprofits. We completed our Rising Tides Initiative and Raised Glasses Initiative in 2020, then proceeded to embark on our High Water Healing Initiative. The prior initiatives were brand new ones and sculpted to send direct support to businesses which were shut down from COVID. The latter initiative transitions us back even more in line with our mission and main goal of more clean water. We had to adapt to the COVID environment by doing the fundraising on our company side (Jetty) as opposed to the nonprofit side (Jetty Rock Foundation). The Jetty Rock Foundation relies heavily on events to raise funds and events could not be run. We pivoted to sell apparel to raise the funds and made the donations directly from our business (Jetty). While we try to channel all fundraising through the nonprofit, COVID forced us to take these measures and support our customers (retail apparel stores across the US) and local restaurants/bars.
