National Association of Parents Inc. d/b/a ParentsUSA

Mission

ParentsUSA's core mission is to preserve and support the parent-child relationship. By advocating for the rights of parents as protected by the U.S. Supreme Court, ParentsUSA works to support parents’ rights to raise their children as they see fit, so long as they are not harmed. Through strategic litigation including appeals and support of parents during appeals as amicus curiae, education, and lobbying, ParentsUSA will reshape public policy to be in alignment with the rights parents have as provided by US Supreme Court decisions.

Vision

With growth, ParentsUSA aspires to accept more requests for help from parents. ParentsUSA receives requests from parents across the USA, largely because other nonprofits are think-tanks and strategic policy organizations that decline to provide direct legal services for parents. ParentsUSA reviews every request for help and filters the requests identifying those that implicate ParentsUSA's mission to push back against the infringement of the constitutional rights of parents. When able to do so, ParentsUSA either represents the parents directly or provides legal support by submitting amicus curiae briefs (friend of the court) to the court, trial or appellate, in which the parents' legal case is pending.
