Our organization was selected as one of the country's most innovative non-profits to take part in the Stand Together Catalyst Impact Program. As participants in this program, we invested in attending offsite professional development trainings in various parts of the country to grow our leadership staff's knowledge and skills in management and program measurement practices. Our key leaders have met with and learned from other leaders from organizations around the country. As these relationships continue to develop, we see possibilities for collaboration and other new opportunities.

We raise awareness of mission and cause through marketing activities, social media, etc. We are active on Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn, providing content on empowerment, domestic violence education resources and events. We also share inspirational stories and videos of our graduates that highlight their growth and resilience.
During Domestic Violence Awareness Month, we joined the National Network to End Domestic Violence campaign (Every1KnowsSome1), we shared educational content and resources to bring more attention and support to this important issue.

The nonprofit has an opportunity to tell the story of how the organization adapted to tremendous external changes in the last year.
Before the pandemic, all our programs were taught in person. At one point we were servicing three different program locations. When the pandemic started in March 2020, we transitioned to Zoom. The shift enabled us to continue our programs and expand our geographic reach to other parts of the country.
This year we planned to bring back our Leap to Confidence® program to in person classes. We scheduled a program for the 2nd quarter. However, we did not get enough registrants and had to delay the program.
In order to run the program, we rescheduled it for later in the year and employed new marketing efforts, which included:
• Developing and offering a monthly one-hour information session for community partners or interested individuals to learn about the program.
• Attending a weekly meeting at One Safe Place (the program location) to talk about the program with community partners.
• Delivering onsite information sessions at other community partner sites.
These tactics were successful, and we were able to run our first in-person class this fall. As we plan our program schedule for 2024, we will offer a mix of in person and Zoom classes to continue to serve our San Diego community and our expanded geographic reach.
