Goals

1. 1.ASFHG is committed to increasing its impact by enhancing the curriculum and expanding access to the Fellowship. We know that projects will be more impactful if we provide a more robust Fellowship experience. To expand access, we are increasing the number of consortium schools and diversifying our funding streams, allowing more Fellows to go through our program.
2. 2.ASFHG leadership believes in constantly evaluating the community's needs so that we can adapt our programs. In our most recent agency needs assessment, leaders reported that their highest need for Fellows was assisting individuals in navigating the healthcare system. Therefore, in 2024, we launched the Patient Navigation Program, which will train Fellows to be patient navigators.
3. 3.To train more Fellows, the staffing composition and infrastructure must be scalable and funding streams diversified. In 3 years, ASFHG went from 1 full-time staff equivalent to 5. The enduring materials and partner site relationships have grown, and multiple foundations, individuals, and universities have been brought on as supporters. This has resulted in a tripling of ASFHG revenue in 3 years.
