Mission

Code Savvy is dedicated to creating inclusive opportunities in computer science. Our mission is to interrupt and counteract gender, racial, and socioeconomic disparities in computing by equipping youth and educators with the knowledge, skills, and support to create with technology. Since 2013, we have empowered students and teachers through hands-on learning experiences, mentorship, and educator training, ensuring a lasting impact in classrooms and communities across Minnesota.

Goals

1.- Increase participation of underserved youth in our programs by 25% year over year. - 100% of Code Savvy Educator Training participants will earn microcredentials/certificates in CS education. - Have at least 2 sustainable revenue streams other than donations / grants. - Establish a program focused on workforce development and career connection.
2.Board of Directors - Have defined and established Board roles and committees that support our strategic planning. - Have an operating infrastructure to support leaders and volunteers - Onboarding and Processes + Policies. - Have 100% Board Giving - Defined and Happening. - Have at least 11 of our Board Seats filled consistently with staggering terms.
3.Be leading in partnership building to support other organization's work as well as our own. Have a regular statewide event to recognize volunteers. Increase participant referrals for our programs by 15% year over year. Have participation in every county in MN. Have a partnership with the MN Department of Education.
