Vision

Our mission is to build a world where every dog is safe, valued, and has the opportunity to thrive. Education is key to accomplishing our goals in Northern Sonora, Mexico. Through never-ending rescue efforts on behalf of our staff and volunteers, constant community outreach, and educational opportunities, we hope to transform the cultural hurdles that exist in animal welfare in Sonora, Mexico. We strive to create a culture of empathy, kindness, and to transform the lives of the dogs who struggle to survive on the streets.

Goals

1. 1.The need for sanctuary/rescue operations in Mexico is increasing. We strive to meet the community's needs by expanding our capacity, increasing funding for the vet care and nutrition our dogs require, and spreading the word of our incredible work. We're working tirelessly to secure a location in Phoenix, AZ where, once healthy, our dogs can thrive while they wait for their forever families.
2. 2.BDR is has secured a brick and mortar location in Arizona. This requires a significant amount of capital investment, build-outs, additional personnel, and additional resources such as veterinary care and nutritious food, to allow our AZ efforts to survive and thrive.
3. 3.One of our primary obstacles is the struggle to educate and "spread the word" about our work, without investing our scarce financial resources into marketing. By increasing our following, we increase our pool of potential donors and supporters--this is a critical element to our future growth and success.
