Nuestra Casa De East Palo Alto

Mission

Responding to community needs, Nuestra Casa partners with residents in disinvested Mid-Peninsula neighborhoods to ensure access to critical services, mentor local leadership, and shift power through community-led advocacy.

Vision

Nuestra Casa envisions a vibrant mid-peninsula community united around shared values, where every resident thrives—no matter where he or she lives. Through civic engagement activities and collaborative community action, our families in East Palo Alto, Belle Haven, and North Fair Oaks are paving the road for other generations to follow.

Goals

1.Ensure our community members have access to information about emerging issues and safety net resources. Increase the # of community members enrolled in safety net and affordable housing programs by directly helping them to apply.
2.Train community members on local climate change issues and solutions so that they can become civically engaged and promote policies that benefit their families and homes.
3.Train community members on affordable housing issues to reduce displacement and the rapid gentrification of our historic neighborhoods.
