Poiema Foundation

Mission

The Poiema Foundation is a North Texas-based nonprofit organization dedicated to fighting human trafficking through three interconnected areas of focus: Education, Outreach, and Safe House care. Our mission is to equip communities to recognize and respond to exploitation while walking alongside survivors on the path toward restoration.

Vision

The Poiema Foundation envisions a world where sexual abuse and exploitation are no longer tolerated and where those who have experienced exploitation receive safe housing and long-term trauma-informed care, resulting in restoration as they are loved unconditionally.

Goals

1.To further education and advocacy by training individuals in churches, schools, service organizations, medical professions, and law enforcement about the dangers of human trafficking.
2.To engage communities in fighting HT and raising awareness of missing, at-risk children by increasing the number of partnerships and volunteer outreach teams in new locations throughout the US.
3.To empower survivors, through trauma-informed care, by operating and expanding our current Safe House and facilitating a program protype that can be developed in other like-minded communities.
