Mission

The mission of Braven is to empower promising, underrepresented young people—first-generation college students, students from low-income backgrounds, and students of color—with the skills, confidence, experiences and social capital necessary to transition from college to strong first jobs, which lead to meaningful careers and lives of impact.

Vision

Our vision is that the next generation of leaders will emerge from everywhere and be as diverse as our future demands.

Goals

1.Braven aims to serve 10,000 Fellows by 2032 by growing Higher Education and Employer partnerships; employing a diversified funding model; and increasing data capacity.
2.In response to Fellows’ calls for more industry-specific guidance, we launched Career Communities this year to supplement the generalizable knowledge built in the sector-agnostic Accelerator Course.
3.Braven fuels the dialogue around the college-to-career transition by hosting cross-sector events, engaging in policy analysis, and cultivating relationships with local, state, and Federal leaders.
