The Uncle Kory Foundation looks forward to collaborating with like-minded individuals and organizations to inspire and bring hope to those who are facing such life-altering challenges. GBM accounts for approximately 17 percent of all brain tumors and increases in frequency with age, affecting more men than women. Unfortunately for all of them, the prognosis is grim, as few will live to see 3 years after diagnosis. Most patients will live only 6-18 months. The entire family is affected by the devastating news. The Uncle Kory Foundation’s mission is to advance innovative and collaborative brain cancer research to specifically improve the survival rate and treatment of those diagnosed with Glioblastoma (GBM).

The Uncle Kory Foundation hosted it's first Virtual Cooking Class - Cooking for Kory in 2021. This online, streamed cooking class enabled us to bring the class to the homes of our participants. We collected a wonderful selection of high end cooking ingredients and delivered them to the doorstep of all our attendees. They then were part of an informative class where we learned to make a three course dinner. During the event we also highlighted a research program we recently funded. The proceeds of this event enabled us to fund three Medical Student Summer Grants that we partnered with American Brain Tumor Association. This collaboration allows us to put our research dollars to work with a fellow non profit in the same space which maximized our ability to fund innovative research quickly and efficiently. The class was a huge success and we look to do these yearly moving forward.
