The nonprofit organization presents evidence of strategic thinking and goal setting through sharing their most important strategic goals.
Goal One: March On! hosts an annual arts festival to highlight untold and mistold civil rights stories, featuring 10+ events over five days for 1,000+ attendees. This goal ensures historical accuracy, harnesses the power of the arts, fosters engagement, sustains impact, and connects past struggles to today's fight for justice—educating, inspiring, and mobilizing communities for lasting change.
Goal Two: March On! hosts an annual film competition, attracting 150+ submissions from students and emerging filmmakers focused on racial and social justice. This goal amplifies diverse voices, nurtures new talent, and fosters storytelling as a tool for change. By spotlighting these films, we inspire dialogue, raise awareness, and empower the next generation to drive justice through the power of film.
Goal Three: March On! is committed to finalizing the Imagining Equity Curriculum—a film and media arts course—and implementing a distribution plan to expand its reach to high schools nationwide. This initiative aims to empower students with storytelling skills, fostering a deeper understanding of equity and social justice issues through creative expression.
