Vision

Our vision is to build an empathetic world where nobody feels alone. Crisis Text Line provides free, confidential, 24/7 text-based mental health support and crisis intervention in both English and Spanish for anyone in the United States and Puerto Rico. Since our launch in 2013, we have supported over 12 million conversations in the United States and more than 16 million conversations across the UK, the US, Canada and Ireland.

Goals

1. 1.Built a unique model that combines human connection at scale with unmatched real-time data insights into the global mental health crisis. Crisis Text Line acquired Aquí Estoy Chat in 2025 and plans to expand free, 24/7 text-based mental health support across 20 Spanish-speaking countries: Latin America, Spain, and the Caribbean.
2. 2.Expand, mobilize our volunteer community of everyday heroes helping others in crisis by increasing volunteer diversity, retention, training and engagement; and expanding workforce, campus partnerships. Our volunteer-powered, text-based platform allows us to reach people where they are, in their moments of greatest need, with compassion and care across the world.
3. 3.Help build capacity of the sector and influence policies, practices and systems by producing research with actionable insights, contributing to mental health workforce, expanding advocacy efforts
