Arnold & Winnie Palmer Foundation Inc.
Mission
Our mission is to inspire and empower future generations by championing youth character development, children's health, and environmental stewardship. Rooted in the enduring legacy of Arnold Palmer, and his wife of nearly 50 years - Winnie Walzer Palmer - we honor their impact on golf and American history by preserving and sharing their stories as a source of inspiration. Through charitable and educational initiatives, we strive to create meaningful, lasting change so that every child has the opportunity to live a Life Well Played.
Vision
A world where every child thrives in health and character, where communities embrace the values of integrity, perseverance, and generosity, and where the natural environment flourishes for future generations. Through the enduring legacy of Arnold Palmer, we aspire to inspire limitless possibilities—empowering youth, advancing children’s well-being, and fostering a deep sense of stewardship for our shared world. By championing these ideals, we seek to create a lasting impact that transcends sport, enriching lives and shaping a brighter, more compassionate future.
Goals
- 1.We are committed to expanding access to ensure more children benefit from character-building, wellness, and environmental stewardship programs. Growing our reach allows us to meet increasing needs, sustain Arnold Palmer’s legacy, and create lasting impact. By scaling our efforts, we strengthen long-term sustainability, foster greater community engagement, and inspire future generations.
- 2.We are committed to focusing on programs that best reflect the spirit of the Palmer legacy—championing character, children’s health, and environmental stewardship. By prioritizing core initiatives, we maximize impact, ensure sustainability, and stay true to our mission. Scaling back non-core programs allows us to deepen our efforts where we can make the greatest difference for future generations.
- 3.We are committed to strengthening our organization’s capacity to enhance efficiency, accountability, and impact. Recent investments in a new CRM system, along with expanded nonprofit accounting and legal expertise, ensure we operate effectively and responsibly. By building financial, managerial, and technical capacity, we position the Foundation for sustainable growth and long-term success.
