Laurel Cats Inc.

Mission

GENERALLY, TO EDUCATE & MOBILIZE CONCERNED CITIZENS OF LAUREL, MD AND SURROUNDING COUNTIES WITH RESPECT TO THE PUBLIC HEALTH AND OTHER BENEFITS TO THE COMMUNITY BY STABILIZING, REDUCING, AND EVENTUALLY ELIMINATING THE LOCAL FERAL CAT POPULATION THROUGH HUMANE METHODS.

Vision

The free-roaming cat problem in Laurel is a community problem. Community problems require community

Goals

1.Trap-Neuter-Vaccinate-Return (TNRV) is at the heart of Laurel Cats' work. We work with residents to do comprehensive, targeted TNVR for 100% of the stray cats in any given community at a time.
2.We run a fostering & adoption program through our in-home foster network. Friendly cats & kittens found on our streets are fostered at our volunteers' homes & then adopted through social media.
3.We offer free spay/neuter svcs & transport for Laurel residents in need. And we have a cat food-bank program (distributing free cat food & litter) to residents in need & caretakers of "porch kitties"
