Mission

YSRP works to keep children out of adult jails and prisons, and to bring home people who were sentenced as children to life in prison without the possibility of parole (“Juvenile Lifers“).

Vision

A world where the law aligns with our firm belief that children are capable of incredible transformation when given support and care.

Goals

1.YSRP is piloting a training and technical assistance program that will prepare attorneys and other court actors to provide holistic representation for youth charged in the adult justice system. The overarching goal of this initiative is to contribute to violence reduction as we disrupt the punitive, racist practices inherent in court processes throughout the Commonwealth.
2.YSRP is piloting a housing assistance program with the goal of promoting self-sufficiency and long-term stability for our client-partners.
