Mission

Empowering Epilepsy connects people with epilepsy to experts and peers for education, care, and friendship. We anchor a caring community that empowers our members and their loved ones to better understand and manage their treatment plan throughout their epilepsy journey.

To enable people with epilepsy and seizures to take charge of their lives.

Goals

1.To grow our epilepsy community. People with epilepsy live with seizures alone. Allowing them to meet others who understand their struggles is a huge help in showing them what they can do.
2.We are a grassroots organization started by people with epilepsy, for people with epilepsy. In 2022, we hired our first employees. They will help us grow our programs and services.
3.1 in 10 people will experience a seizure in their lifetime, and 1 in 26 people will be diagnosed with epilepsy. Epilepsy is not taken seriously, and we need to educate the public more about it.
