Mishna Sdura
Mission
This is a wonderful addition. It adds a very personal, "boots-on-the-ground" element of compassion to the organization's mission. Here is the updated web reader content, integrating the **Hug an IDF Mom and Infant** initiative into the broader story of **Mishna Sdura**. --- ## Our Mission: Learning for the Mind, Support for the Soul At **Mishna Sdura**, our journey began with a simple yet profound goal: to make the wisdom of the Jewish Oral Law accessible, organized, and clear (*Sdura*) for every student. Founded by Rabbi Elijah C. Dordek, what started as a revolutionary series of study texts has grown into a global mission of education, compassion, and community resilience. ### What We Do We believe that Jewish life is a tapestry woven from study, memory, and acts of kindness (*Chesed*). Our work spans three core pillars: * **Empowering Education:** We develop and distribute structured learning resources to students worldwide. By subsidizing books for schools and individuals, we ensure that financial barriers never stand in the way of Torah study. * **Honoring Legacies:** Through our special memorial editions, we help families commemorate fallen soldiers and loved ones, turning grief into a legacy of learning and comfort. * **Holistic Community Care:** We are dedicated to the well-being of the whole person—providing mental health support for those affected by trauma, financial aid for families in need, and mentorship for educators. --- ### Spotlight: Supporting our Heroes at Home A vital part of our mission is the **“Hug an IDF Mom and Infant”** program. Managed by our dedicated volunteers, Mrs. Lisa Goldenhersh and Mrs. Rapp, this initiative provides beautiful, high-quality gift packages to mothers who have given birth while their husbands are away on active IDF duty. By stepping in when a father is called to the front lines, we aim to: * **Strengthen the Family:** Providing tangible support during a vulnerable and momentous time. * **Build Confidence:** Ensuring new mothers feel the embrace of their community. * **Show Empathy:** Letting these brave women know they are not alone. ### Our Global Impact While our heart and printing presses are in **Israel**, our impact is felt worldwide. From the United States to South Africa, Mishna Sdura is more than a publishing house—it is a movement. Whether through a structured page of Mishna or a supportive gift for a new mother, we are here to foster a world of knowledge, kindness, and healing.
