In March of 2020, our organization enlisted the service of Kirk Scott Philanthropic Consulting as an Executive Director and leadership coach. With Mr. Scott’s assistance we worked on strategic planning and development, cause related marketing, and expanded our partnerships, defined future plans for individuals and partners, received advice on high impact strategies, received guidance in impact reporting and marketing and branding. While Mr. Scott is no longer on retainer he continues to be available to the Executive Director for support.

Hav A Sole recently received a donation of a new Sprinter van which allows us the capacity to do pop up events and direct outreach within Los Angeles and other major cities. In addition, through our marketing efforts Hav A Sole was featured on The Ellen Show during the pandemic raising more awareness of our mission.

Hav A Sole adapted to external changes in the last year by requesting and receiving funding for additional staff to support the Executive Director. Since then, we hired a Program Assistant. We also completed our third Hav A Sole for Success, our annual paid internship program for marginalized youth. In collaboration with Goodwill we were able to provide non-profit training for seven interns. Furthermore, Goodwill provided an additional 220 hours for two Hav A Sole for Success interns.
