Pacific Outfitters Green Team
Mission
The Pacout Green Team: Passionate about Nature and the Outdoors Our team of outdoor enthusiasts is committed to preserving the natural environment by keeping it free of garbage, litter, and microplastics. One of our notable initiatives is the "Home of the Weekly 60-minute cleanup," which takes place every Saturday between 9:00am and 10:00am. We understand that people have busy schedules, so by hosting these short and consistent cleanups, we encourage others to embrace our way of life. Picking up trash is not just an annual event; it's a lifestyle choice. Let's work together to keep Humboldt County beautiful.
Vision
PacOut Green Team envisions a future where Humboldt County’s open spaces thrive, clean, protected, and respected by everyone who calls this place home. By showing up week after week for 60 to 90 minute cleanups, we aim to spark a community wide movement that restores fragile ecosystems, inspires environmental stewardship, and proves that consistent, hands on action can transform the health of our coastline, forests, and neighborhoods. Our work today builds the foundation for a cleaner, stronger, and more connected Humboldt tomorrow.
Goals
- 1.Strengthen PacOut Green Team’s advocacy for trash awareness while expanding and empowering a growing community of environmental stewards. Through our weekly cleanups, we will deepen public understanding of the impacts of litter, inspire greater community involvement, and build long-term support for protecting Humboldt County’s open spaces.
- 2.Reduce the amount of litter and garbage in Humboldt County’s fragile open spaces by increasing the reach, frequency, and impact of our cleanup efforts. We will target high-need areas, mobilize volunteers, and track measurable reductions in waste to restore and protect the health of our natural environments.
- 3.Secure stable and diversified funding to fully support PacOut Green Team’s weekly volunteer cleanups, ensuring all supplies, equipment, and operational costs are consistently covered. We will expand donor outreach, strengthen community partnerships, and pursue grants and sponsorships that allow our cleanup efforts to grow and remain resilient for years to come.
