Tony Finau Foundation
Mission
EMPOWER AND INSPIRE YOUTH AND THEIR FAMILIES THROUGH EDUCATION, WELLNESS, AND RECREATION.
Vision
The Tony Finau Foundation envisions communities where every child and family has the opportunity to thrive—mind, body, and spirit. We create lasting impact through three core pillars: basic needs, literacy, and mental health. Through these efforts, we empower youth to rise above barriers, strengthen families, and build resilience. At the heart of this vision is the Tony Finau Foundation Literacy Center, a model for how targeted, community-based programs can drive generational change. The Center improves literacy rates among elementary-aged students and their families through educational support, parental engagement, and access to essential resources. By promoting a love of reading and learning, we are not only raising readers—we are shaping futures. Together, through education, wellness, and recreation, we help families discover their potential and communities realize their promise.
Goals
- 1.The goal of the Tony Finau Foundation Literacy Center is to improve literacy outcomes and confidence among elementary-aged students by providing consistent reading support, family engagement opportunities, and access to culturally relevant resources. Success will be measured through student reading growth, program participation, and increased family involvement in learning at home.
- 2.The goal of the Tony Finau Foundation’s mental health initiative is to understand the emotional needs of K–12 youth and build effective pathways to care by partnering with community experts, reducing stigma, and connecting families to accessible, trusted mental health resources.
- 3.The goal of Tony’s Turkeys is to maintain our commitment to families in need by providing meals, essentials, and connection each holiday season—consistently feeding 2,500+ families and ensuring each one feels supported, seen, and part of a caring community.
